Latest Update

Coaches, We’re a little less than a month away from the deadline, 22 May 2026, to enter the 35th Annual Military Tournament. I’ve tried to do my best over the years to make this event memorable. Some changes were met with unpopular posts because most don’t like change. But with the volume of teams and making this event flow best some tough decisions must be made. We’re adding the Over 50 division this season. Alot of the questions are about players playing on more than one team. If the coaches let me know which teams those are, I’ll do my best to try and avoid conflicts. But teams should be prepared to play when their team is scheduled to not delay any games. I know there are a lot of people asking about the ball. We’ve used the Razzo ball for this event and that will continue again this season. Here is the best breakdown I have based on last year’s teams. On Wednesday we’ll have Over 50 and Coed start at 8am. Then on Thursday morning we’ll start with Over 40. In the late morning/early afternoon I’ll start the Women’s division pool play. That will be followed by the Varsity B division at approximately 12-2pm depending on the number of teams entered in these three divisions. If you have players on your Over 40 teams playing Varsity B, please let me know. I heard from one team already. Then on Friday we’ll have a very busy day as Varsity A will start the day. The Varsity B division will continue, and the Women’s bracket play will start. The Intramural teams will also start their pool play. I believe the flyer says Intramural to begin on Thursday, but I don’t think that will happen, my apologies to any out of state teams. But I made a promise to the Women to try to finish their bracket under the lights Saturday night if possible. Saturday morning will start the Varsity Combined and continue with the Women and Intramural brackets. Please make sure your teams are registered, and ALL rosters are online. We will be checking rosters so proper ID’s must be available when your team checks in, NO exceptions. If you need a player waiver or have any questions on eligibility, please send them to military.usssa@usssa.com. I just return from vacation in Mexico and playing catch up with the team list. This is who has contacted me so far to the best of my knowledge. If you plan on entering a team, please let me know by 15 May if possible. The vendor has requested an extra week to get the Band-Aid jersey on time with the issues going on right now in the world. If you want your team listed on the jersey please contact me before 15 May. You can pay your entry fee online on the USSSA. If you’re trying to pay me directly, I have cash app $JPKDOG8 or Zelle jpkdog8@yahoo.com and if you need my cell, it’s 719-337-0155. I DO NOT have a tax exemption if you want to use a Government CC to pay for the event. Please start getting your teams registered and your entry fee paid. I can’t do brackets until both are accomplished. If your still needing rooms please contact the host hotel Tru by Hilton.
